How Frenkel Topping Group’s engagement skyrocketed with Engage

25 Jul 2024, posted in

  • 75% of colleagues actively engaged by the end of 2023
  • 96% of employees rated pre-event communication positively
  • 46% of employees rated it as excellent

The Challenge

Frenkel Topping Group (FTG) faced a critical challenge in early 2023 – colleague engagement levels were alarmingly low, averaging just 30%.

With the annual employee conference approaching, the need for a sustainable and effective engagement strategy became urgent. The existing communication method—email—proved inefficient, leading to fragmented interactions and a disengaged workforce. It was clear that a new approach was needed to revitalise colleague engagement and ensure the success of the upcoming conference.

The Solution

  • A seamless login: An active directory connection was implemented, allowing colleagues to log into Engage using their Microsoft credentials. Engage was set as the default homepage for all desktop users, ensuring easy access.
  • Implementing an adoption strategy: Engage used various frameworks and integrated consumer-grade technology with engagement expertise to adapt strategies to our needs, helping to create a thriving colleague community ahead of the conference.
  • Creating a centralised conference hub: A dedicated section within Engage was created for all conference-related information, featuring a clear layout, vibrant imagery, and branded folders.
  • Rebranding the platform: FTG collaborated with Engage’s design team to revamp the platform in branded colours and launch new peer-to-peer recognition cards based on newly introduced FTG values.

The Impact

The strategic partnership between FTG and Engage delivered transformative results. By December 2023, colleague engagement levels had surged from 30% to over 75%. Engage became the central hub for organising the conference, streamlining idea collection, collaboration, and attendance tracking.

It allowed three team members to focus their efforts on more impactful, strategic work as administrative tasks were automated by Engage, setting up the team for success and smoothly navigating a 50% increase in attendance at the conference.
The improved communication process was widely recognised, with 96% of post-event survey respondents rating the pre-event communication positively and 46% rating it as excellent.

For any business, a well-informed and engaged workforce is more productive, happier, and more likely to stay with the company, leading to improved retention rates and overall organisational success.

The solutions provided by Engage not only boosted engagement and efficiency but also underscored the importance of integrating effective engagement strategies into internal communications.
