Engage Solutions Group (ESG) has announced the go-live of its engagement technology solution across Scotland’s largest event campus. Glasgow’s Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is rolling out the Engage employee app across its 300-strong workforce to enhance internal communications, team member engagement and operational efficiency.
The first phase of the project has focused on universal connectivity, linking everyone together to provide a one stop shop for information. Teams can now issue news, message select groups, and put urgent push notifications out in an instant; while team members can access information such as contact details, policies and procedures, and Health and Safety materials via their phone, tablet or desktop. Users can also directly message individuals and groups and keep up to date with alerts and updates via their personal newsfeed.
As Gayle Shepherd, SEC’s Director of People and Technology, explains, the benefit of having everyone in the loop is a huge step forward: “The SEC is a very busy campus with a wide variety of roles, many of which make the regular checking of emails or getting to a PC challenging. We want people to feel connected and valued, and to make their jobs easier by giving them access to news and information direct to their mobile phones. Secure messaging means we can have compliant ‘chat’ between teams and individuals, enhancing social engagement and providing operational support.
“In addition, Engage’s platform architecture gives us the time and flexibility to do this on our own terms – we’re addressing our priorities now but there’s plenty of future potential too such as digital holiday requests and gamification. We’re loving using the solution throughout the business to support engagement, communication and team member experience.”
