It’s all about us says itsu as it launches new colleague engagement initiative

Engage has announced further success in the retail sector with the signing of Asian fast-food phenomenon itsu. It is rolling out the new Engage-powered its’us employee app to over 1400 staff across 75 locations.

The move comes as itsu seeks to refocus on its founding values and deep sense of family after the destabilising effects of Brexit and the pandemic.

itsu’s Head of HR & Talent Anna-Maria Tsili explains: “The UK’s EU exit followed by two years of Covid disruption has had a massive impact on the whole retail and hospitality sector. The make-up of our staff has changed significantly, and that always has the potential to loosen ties and weaken culture. We want to pre-empt that by reinvesting in and reinvigorating that whole employee experience.

“The Engage app is pivotal to that effort. It lets us go mobile-first, which is far more in tune with team member expectations and how we as an organisation use technology. It allows us to curate a dynamic digital world with everything in the one place, from company news, site-based chat and push notifications to surveys, rewards, payslips, rotas, even full onboarding routines.
